Fun was had by all that entire 4th of July weekend!! We spent the 4th with our friends the Unsell's and the Borzych's zooming on their slip and slide and hanging out feasting on good food and good fellowship!! Thanks Chris, Sherry, Bryan, Sigrid and family for allowing us to crash the party!!!

Reagan has been saying this to just about everyone he meets this last week. I don't think he is excited about being the big "9". I can't believe my sweet little boy is nine today. Good for me he is young at heart still enjoying nothing more than cars, trucks, boats, water and dirt. The more water and dirt the better!! I think he will still like these things when he is 29. We are so blessed to have so much family in town to celebrate with! We had a grand time with the family celebrating last night. Everyone was here from Grandma Mott, Mamaw, Papaw, Aunt Sharon, Uncle Tye and the rest of our crew. Reagan didn't mind not one little bit that he was going to open his presents a day early since we wanted to celebrate while Grandma was still in town. I think he is enjoying the idea of being able to celebrate on 3 days this week, for we are having his friends over Friday night so they will go and see the movie "Journey to the Center of the Earth".
He has grown up so much both physically and mentally but yet is such a happy go lucky, innocent, tender hearted little boy. I hope he stays like that for a long time. Don't get me wrong, he can also be stubborn, naughty, and defiant. But he gets me every time he giggles or snuggles up and tells me for no reason that he loves me.
Thank you God for blessing me with the miracle of our son Reagan! Everytime he giggles or he showers me with kisses I am reafirmed your presence in our lives. Your light, joy and love shine so brightly through him and I am so grateful. Father God continue to shine upon my dear Reagan and help me to raise this beautiful child of God to be the man you created him to be. It is in your precious and holy name I pray, AMEN!
Just look at those faces, how can I not feel blessed!!! They were so funny, they won't up this morning and all came downstairs; took one look at each other and starting laughing; realizing they all are wearing the same color. Do you think we are spending TOO much time together?!

Reagan Field Day Fun: Reagan really got into the running. Just like his mommy!
Swim team practice: Note this is Caitlin's first year and this is a picture of her first time down the entire pool by herself. We are so proud of them all!!
Humanitarian agencies are rushing emergency aid to drought-stricken central Ethiopia, where a sudden deterioration in food supplies has led to surge of child mortality. At least 23 children have died at hospitals and emergency feeding centers during the past three weeks, and authorities say countless others have died at home for lack of treatment. In this first of two reports from the hardest-hit area around the town of Shashemene 250 kilometers south of Addis Ababa, VOA's Peter Heinlein reports conditions are expected to worsen over the coming months.

As my father put it so well, it was as if the angels were having a pillow fight up in heaven. I never knew snow could be so amazingly soft. So radically different than the sleet/hail we call snow here in good ole SA. Sad to say the kids first words were "mommy, the snow here doesn't hurt like at home. It feels and looks like feathers!"

We also just learned that he doesn't know as much English as we originally thought, not that that matters. Blake, Reagan and Caitlin are eager to teach him, so I am sure he will learn quickly. We even purchased a software program "Amharic the EZ way", to learn his native tongue as well. It's not an easy language, but we are having fun trying!!
Praise God!!! Father God thank you for giving us this amazing opportunity and blessing of being able to bring this beautiful child of God into our family. Please watch over him and keep him safe and filled with our love and yours until the day we bring him home.
Ephesians 1:5 "His unchanging plan has always been to adopt us into his own family by bringing us to himself through Jesus Christ. And this gave him great pleasure."
